The Clean formed in 1978 in Dunedin, New Zealand, or so claims Wikipedia. I think they formed in the brain-stem of a very spiritually inclined inter-planetary alien invader who passed as human sometime in the heyday of the punk rock/new wave music formation era. But that's just my opinion. Music from The Clean is available on Flying Nun. and Merge Records. In fact, you can pre-order the four-LP reissue of "Anthology" on the Merge site, set for release on July 15, 2014.
